Caccia

An Italian musical style of the 14th and 15th centuries containing a text which describe hunting scenes. Usually the music consists of a canon for the upper voices accompanied by an independent tenor. a fourteenth-century canonic piece (literally, "chase") on an Italian text; the text often deals with hunting or nature and may include bird calls, hunting fanfares, etc.
