Cauda

("tail") the second section of a troubadour canso; in the cauda, a composer is free to create whatever internal structure seems appropriate to the poetry. The cauda ends with a conclusive clos cadence, and may involve musical rounding (repeating the music of the clos phrase of the pes as its final phrase, for example).
