Hira do, hira daiko

A taiko cut to a quarter of the height of a standard taiko. Often hung on a frame in a horizontal position. They can be made in various diameters, including large sizes over 48 inches. Large hira daiko have a deep tone, with a sharper attack and quicker decay than nagadou daiko.
