Text declamation

A method of setting text or words to music in a speech-like manner. In this method, notes and rhythms will typically follow the flow and accents of natural speech of the text. It is often used with opera libretto to set dialogue or narration without elaboration so it can be easily understood.See also declamation; chordal declamation.
